It is a shock for me to hear that Professor Ji passed away. It is the loss of our institute, it is the loss of Chinese Academy of sciences, and it is the loss of the science community.
I still remember that years ago, every time when I went to the library at Taiyuan Rd, I always saw him sitting there, too, reading journals, even at the age almost 90. He set up a role model for us, for every young scientist in our institute, in terms of how to be a good, dedicated scientist. We should all keep his spirit in mind and carry that out in our daily research work.
Dear Professor Ji, please have a good rest!
